Toxicology and Industrial Hygiene
- Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)
- Asbestos & Lead-Based Paint
- Water and Moisture Intrusion & Mold
The use of hazardous materials in older building construction, the growing proliferation of chemical pollutants in consumer and commercial products, the tendency toward tighter building envelopes and reduced ventilation to save energy, and the pressures to defer maintenance and other building services to reduce costs have fostered indoor air quality problems in many buildings.
In general, indoor air quality (IAQ) is not well managed on a daily basis. Problems are not prevented and controlled before they reach critical levels and frequently results in larger remediation of ensuing problems and/or resolution in court. WCD participates in all areas involving IAQ. We are able to work pre or post construction and also as advisors and experts in legal proceedings.
WCD has significant expertise in the area of toxicology and industrial hygiene. Their chief indoor consultant is nationally acclaimed in this area and is a Certified Industrial Hygienist specializing in all indoor air quality issues.
